Three years and seven months after I started them, I have finished knitting my flip-top Broughton mittens. They spent the afternoon and evening taking a bath, which I hope will smooth out the colorwork and magically enlarge them. (One of those outcomes is likelier than the other.)
I still have to do the finishing, which will require me to sew the linings in place, find or purchase correctly sized buttons, tighten up some gaps around the thumb openings, and weave in a whole bunch of ends. It's at least one GBBO episode, and that's if I have the right buttons in the house.
But still! Let's hear it for progress!
