I am way out of the blogging groove, but I intend to fix that. I have lots of things to tell you. Maybe it's a good time for a blogging streak, yeah?

I have totally neglected posting about Dickens in a year when more people than usual wanted to read along. So let's start there, shall we? Are you reading Great Expectations? Have you read it before? What part are you on and what do you think?

I had planned to finish the book by the end of the June but I have been flitting in fickle fashion from book to book instead. I am only on chapter 36, in which Pip has just returned from a funeral.

I keep thinking to myself, "I should blog," and then not blogging. So here I go, throwing up a speedy post to see if it gets the gears turning again.

Things are fine, mostly. My summer class is almost over and we have a trip coming up that I'm looking forward to. I haven't made as much progress with Great Expectations as I would have liked -- I've been more motivated to read other books instead.

At some point I'd like to talk about reading Outlive last month and about the news on the heart front. But maybe tonight I'll just toss up a quick post and let it tug me back into the blogging groove.
