This is such an elegant last sentence. Sad, but elegant and profound. Thanks.

This is 2020: that in the midst of a pandemic, when I have literally almost no interaction with anyone outside of my immediate family, I am thinking very hard about pausing my Facebook account, because that just seems like a more productive choice than continuing what little social interaction is left open to me.

(Come to think of it, that's not quite accurate, inasmuch as I see a decent number of church friends and work colleagues, plus my parents, via videochat. All the same, I think it does say something to contemplate leaving social media at a time like this.)

The last line of this post sums up my internal tension so well. I wish I could stick it in a meme and post it on Facebook where my update box has been paralyzed into silence.
