Remember how I was knitting a mystery project? Clues 1 and 2 left me with this big right triangle. Its unexplained appendage is dangling down behind the chair.
Clue 3 instructs us to break our yarn and unearth another size 6 needle, and construct a long and pointy V. We are talking super long and pointy. Like, wrist-to-shoulder long, ending in an itsy-bitsy acute angle.
This had better not be the bottom center of the shawl, my friends, because it would be like a large and blinky sign saying BEHOLD MY BUTT.
My butt needs no beholding.
My Clue 3 might need some beholding, though:
It is possible that she is planning for the first piece to be the left "wing" and the second piece to be the closely related but slightly asymmetrical right "wing," and that we'll start knitting the fabric to join them tomorrow.
It is also possible that she has some bananapants next step up her sleeve that hasn't even occurred to me.
Tune in next week for a further installment of "Jamie Invests Many Hours of Her Life in a Thing That Might Be Really Hideous But She Doesn't Even Know Yet."
Wow, I'm VERY curious! Since the last mystery project ended up in my closet (and I'm very happy with how it turned out even though I haven't worn it too often) I'm really wondering what that will be! I hope it's not like last year's and that you can keep and enjoy it. ;-)
