Disgraced is too strong, I suppose, but let me know if you have a better rhyme.
I am going to do this NaBloPoMo thing, dernit, but I am a busy lady and I am squeezing blogging into the window between tucking in the younger kids and my self-imposed off-the-computer deadline. I was looking back at my post from Saturday to see how hasty it sounded, and I caught myself in a mistake.
Brachiopods, it turns out, may have turned up around the same time as the herrerasaurus, but there's an important difference: brachiopods aren't extinct. They are alive and well in an ocean near you. If I was aiming for "a thing that has been dead for a long time," I should have said brachiosaurus. You can tell it's been a few years since I had a 4-year-old boy. Next thing you know I'll be forgetting how to spell compsognathus.
Light & Momentary: come for the nostalgia, stay for the zoology.
