I think I've found a spiritual director, after months of wishing I could make it work. We met tonight and it feels absolutely right. She's a nun who just took permanent vows this spring, younger than me and full of joy. She laughed all through our meeting. I came home with some notes on a paper napkin and a peaceful heart. Next time I'll take something better to write on.

Welcome to my blog, where I mostly natter on about my life with five kids. Occasionally (not very often, because teenagers keep a person humble) I dispense parenting advice.
