Still bad at detachment but no longer writhing with anxiety

In my email:

Dear Jamie:

I am pleased to inform you that your Dissertation has been officially deposited with the Thesis Office on April 22, 2010. Congratulations on completing this important degree requirement!

The painters' boss is coming by tomorrow morning at 8 "so we can get on your same page." He's a good guy and we've worked with him before, so I'm optimistic that we'll work it out.

Off to scrub windowsills.
