- Finally, after months of wrangling with thousands of data points, I have a completed draft of my results chapter. I just wrote the last paragraph. That, my friends, was a big job. (It's not over, of course. I have typed and deleted six different versions of this sentence, torn between celebrating the accomplishment and acknowledging that plenty of revising lies ahead.)
- After, like, six years of unremitting grayness (all right, maybe it's only been 10 days), the sun is peeking out.
- I am bundling up the baby and taking her out to enjoy the sunshine with me before we pick up the boys.

Welcome to my blog, where I mostly natter on about my life with five kids. Occasionally (not very often, because teenagers keep a person humble) I dispense parenting advice.
