I have a golfer in the house :) Replacing windows is something that happens lots here :)

Luckily you bookmarked this

I keep coming back to this post and trying to breathe deeply. I live in a house that has, as many do, windows. I have a yard with black walnut trees. I am expecting a boy in September. I do not know what to expect from this boy, but I have a feeling my future holds walnut damage of some variety, be it stains or broken windows. (My other child is a girl who doesn't like to touch things, so the possibility of walnuts being thrown never occurred to me.) Oh my.

Don't worry just yet, Amy. Your little guy won't be playing with the walnuts for a while. And maybe he'll be a mellow boy who likes to do puzzles with his big sister.

We've lived in this house for three years, and this is the first walnut through the window -- $50 for a next-day repair (how much do you figure the responsible party should contribute?), not a big deal. :-)

$50 for a next-day repair sounds like a good price, first of all. Amount of contribution? That is a good question. I have no idea.

I will breathe deeply and remind myself that there are a lot of ways any kid can get into trouble, walnuts aside. :)
