I have never tried homeopathy, unless you count the old tube of arnica ointment in the medicine cabinet. But yesterday I had an inspiration. The answer to the question my husband kept asking during my pregnancy -- "Where did all the ice cream go?" -- has become distressingly clear: it went to my behind. The solution? Homeopathy!
Like cures like, right? I can drive away the ice cream flab by -- eating more ice cream!
Jamie's Homeopathic Ice Cream Diet -- how's that for my book title?
I think I am going to be a zillionaire. A slim and attractive zillionaire, even.
You have been tagged for a meme about books!

Whenever you have time--I know you're quite busy with the new baby and all. I am curious, though, about your answers.

There's just one problem with your homeopathic ice cream idea. Like cures like, in homeopathic theory, but it only works if the medicine is a tiny "potentized" dose. So to cure the ice cream flab, you'd need to take only the teensiest, tiniest spoonfuls of the richest possible ice cream. But if you save that revelation for the last chapter of your book, and fill the front sections with glowing testimonials, you'll still become the richest author since J.K. Rowling.
I'll write one of your testimonials, if you like. I eat a lot of ice cream and I am hateably slender. Actually, today I am very annoyed because I had to cancel my planned excursion to the double-coupon grocery store, and I have a $1 off coupon for that new Dove ice cream that comes topped with a layer of chocolate ganache. I NEED THAT. You know, for the homeopathic diet.

...yeah, I was hoping nobody would point that out...

I knew there was a catch. It was just too good to be true. But I'll bite anyway ;-) if it lets me eat more ice cream! especially chocolate ice cream.

I lost 15 lbs. one spring eating only ice cream. It was Brigham's Mocha Almond. I had it three times a day. I didn't keep any in the house. Got one serving (cup, cone, shake) on the way to work for breakfast, another at lunch, and the last on the way home. On weekends I walked to the grocery store 2 blocks away for the smallest container, or to the Brigham's in Harvard Square (where I also caught the train to work), just under a mile away. I'm sure the walking didn' hurt. Kept it up for 12 or 14 days. Most successful diet yet for me. Fond memories. Go for it.
