Nice article and so true. I often try to talk myself out of going to practice and then end up feeling fantastic because of going to practice. I think I'll also try to apply these ideas to writing case notes...which I hate and avoid and then have piles and piles of because of avoiding them. :(

I was chased onto the roof of a car by a gaggle of geese many years ago. I don't know if I would have had the courage you displayed to ride a bike past a hissing gander even one time but I'm glad you were successful!

I will be checking out Salty Running. Sounds like my kind of stuff. Running is really all a mind game, isn't it? At home you have to convince yourself it will be worth it. In the first 10 minutes you have to convince yourself you are not dying. After that, you enjoy yourself if its a good day, or you relax into the experience until you're done and feel satisfied, on a regular day, and your mind is calm.
