I've never joined up with Ginny's Yarn Along before, but there's a first time for everything. Here's what I'm knitting:
It's the Fox Paws I told you about, at the beginning of the fifth repetition. It requires a fair amount of concentration, even this far in. I tried to knit at the movies today (because I did not actually want to pay much attention to The Secret Life of Pets), but it's not movie knitting. I think I need to cast on something brainless, like maybe a nice sock.
I am at the beginning of How Not To Be Wrong (how's that for an irresistible title?) and it ticks a lot of my boxes: smart, engaging, accessible. I just finished Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and found it an irksome combination of "What?!" (oh, Ron, you deserved better) and "Duh!" I had high expectations from having read the NYT review of the play. All I can say is that there must be a whole lot of razzle-dazzle happening on that stage to distract viewers from the wince-worthy dialogue.
I should do a real summer reading post one of these days, but I'll keep it brief tonight.
